This project started as a microwave stand, but many other functions were added. It is now a microwave stand, recycling bin, shredder, mail tray, and tack board. In this first video, I make the base and the mail tray. The base is made of hard maple and consists of four sides cut in the CNC router and mitered together to make a four footed stand. The mail tray is a box made of maple and birch plywood. It fits into the top of the cabinet and acts as both the top trim for the cabinet and a box to put the incoming mail into.
